Warehouse conversion

This is a proposal for the conversion of a 2-storey warehouse at Tudor Road, Hackney into residential flats and live/work units with the addition of two storeys bringing the total to circa 2000 sqm. The existing building is a simple reinforced concrete frame brick-clad building with pitched roof. Our proposal serves to provide extra two levels whilst gutting out parts of the existing concrete frame to accommodate interspersed sky gardens and terraces to serve the individual flats adjacent to them. These little pockets of green and outdoor spaces provide also much cross ventilation and daylight into the interiors of the otherwise deep-plan building.
