Studio Verve was brought in to maximise the air rights of an existing four-storey, 58-unit Art Deco block of apartments in the heart of Stamford Hill. By way of sunlight and shadow study a terraced scheme was birthed, providing eight additional luxury duplex apartments. The extension is envisaged as a sensitive addition to the host brick building, utilizing a mix of insulated corten steel and sedum green roofs. The intensely rich rusty hues of the corten steel cladding sit against the reddish-brown brick exterior of the U-shaped courtyard building. Common areas, including the central courtyard, are revamped with new landscaping and amenities.
